Fix Catch-Up

Sometime around Halloween, minor bug fixes stopped getting reported in the shuffle. Sorry if you helped me fix something and I didn’t manage to thank you.

A few fixes I have notes for:

  • Fixed an error clicking on your current avatar. Good catch, Al!
  • Corrected some issues with the Halloween candy grab bag. Thanks, Dennis and Heriodule!
  • I stopped reporting minor bug fixes. Thanks for pointing that out, Mag!

Bug fixes and little updates ahoy!

  • Returning to the Fang’s hideout after killing all the guards should now display the appropriate options. Good catch, BigBellyJarelli.
  • Salvaged items now immediately appear in the list to resalvage. Good eyes, Pete!
  • There are now a “Newest” and a “First” link the profile list. Good suggestion, Vholes.
  • Offhand items are now properly unequipped when you have a cyberdoc remove your cyberarms. Thanks, Sir Cheddar!
  • Corrected an issue where credits you received in your mail wouldn’t update your character pane properly. Thanks for the bug report, Cank!
  • Logging in to a lab computer then immediately back out now counts as walking away and, when appropriate, loitering. Good eyes, DoctrZombie.

And special thanks to Factitious, Mag, Borkman, DoctrZombie, Cryptodynamic, Thrillhouse, and Vholes Piper for some typo finding.

Sushi, pistols, and bites, oh my!

The last view updates and some bug fixes: digest edition.

  • Added a bit of bite to broken bottles. Thanks for the suggestion, Francis Vixen.
  • Mouth-based attacks now interact properly with hats that cover your mouth. Thanks for the push, BigBellyJarelli.
  • Added some new pistol crafting recipes.
  • Eating sushi should no longer throw in_array() errors. Thanks Cryptodynamic, The Fop, and Liasi.
  • Resolved an issue that made Zack’s unavailable. Thanks GoldS!
  • Fixed an issue making the shiny new restored pistol unequippable. Thanks again, BigBellyJarelli!
  • Also sorted out some typos thanks to rxzambrana, xerf, and Mag.

Intercontinental Bugfixes

So, here’s the list of bugs from slightly before I left through now. I should be caught up now, so if there’s anything you sent in that dropped through the cracks, let me know. Also sorry if I missed anyone that reporting a bug, my records are a bit scattered.

  • Cleaned up some issues with 05Cleaner and killing sites at the end of the virus event. Thanks to Al, GoldS, Cryptodynamic, Thrillhouse, Dead_Eye, and Francis Vixen for the bug reports.
  • Corrected a pair of bugs allowing free access node searches, thanks to Factitious and Cryptodynamic.
  • Sorted out a serious bug related to multi-using items. Thanks GoldS!
  • Then fixed multi-selling blackmail material, which I broke there. Good catch, Dennis!
  • Made the personal comm dish properly craftable thanks to Liasi.
  • Also made the Crystallized Octopus Eye craftable under normal circumstances. Thanks for the dark magic, GoldS.
  • Removed a few more hanging Docks references. Good eyes, Heriodule.

And a couple changes:

  • I might be opening a can of worms here, but the Gang Boss now responds to ties, driving home a bit more of your character’s nature. Thanks to Liasi for this one.
  • The Jitters are now a touch more controllable. Thanks to Francis Vixen for the suggestion.

Also fixed up some typos thanks to Cryptodynamic, Al, Francis Vixen, and Mag.

We’ve got a lot of bug fixes this time. Perhaps unsurprisingly, most of them reflect the new battlefields out in the Net.

  • Corrected a bug allowing use of arbitrary tools in Net Combat. Big thanks to Al for this one.
  • The Viral Reformatter is properly closing access to the reformatted site. Thanks Cryptodynamic and Argeth!
  • Enemy information should be immediately updated on successful use of the Viral Reformat tool. Good catch, DerMagus!
  • Zack now has a conversation option for the Zalian Defense Tool. Thanks for pointing that out, Arkaim.
  • The arms dealer in the VIP Room will no longer sometimes give away free crates of goodies. Thanks Smokestack!
  • Using Cover Fire underwater will no longer result in uncontrollable urges to gnaw the flesh of one’s enemies. Thanks for the bug report, BigBellyJarelli!

Little Fixes

Just fixing a couple little things here and there. Don’t mind me.

  • Resuscitated the inventory screen after breaking it in what assuredly wasn’t an update. Thanks to Samael, Curtangel, and Vordrax for reporting that.
  • Also unbroke the Net, ironically enough. Thanks Factitious!
  • Fixed an issue where outfit messages about missing pieces were only showing up if you already had all the pieces you possess equipped. Thanks for diving into that confusion, Vholes!
  • Flipping your coin, if you know what I mean, should now work in the proper areas before you oust the Fangs, rather than the Sewers. Good catch Arkaim!
  • Cleared up some ancient javascript to increase compatibility. Thanks for bringing that up, Llamaman.
  • Shining Blade now salvages into its correct components. Good eyes, Amasius.

Also, in non-bug news, I raised the length limit on character descriptions. You can thank Francis Vixen for that.

And fixed up a bunch of typos thanks to Liasi, Rxzambrana, Mag, Arkaim, and Argeth.

A Few Updates

Between resting and working on Christmas, I’ve squeezed in a few updates.

  • You can now retrieve items from Zack multiple times a run (for example, if it spans seasons). Thanks for pointing that out, Al.
  • Added conversation options to Zack regarding the seasonal reset rewards. Good call, Mag.
  • The OmniMall now sends messages to gift receivers explaining how to get their gifts if they don’t already have OmniMall access. Thanks for the suggestion, Sir Cheddar.
  • Fixed a few bugs preventing seasonal reset rewards from being handed out in a timely fashion. Thanks Mag and Factitious!
  • Corrected a bug where stuns weren’t consistently disrupting Techniques that depend on their predecessors (like Swordplay). Thanks Xerf!

Spooooooky Tome

Added a couple new tricks to the Tome of Binding. On a totally unrelated note, some of you may have a spooooooky present waiting out there.

Fixed some pretty noticeable bugs:

  • Fixed an SQL Injection (read: very bad) security flaw, thanks to Elias. You rule!
  • Fixed a bug where earthly runs weren’t being recorded for season resets. Thanks for the bug report, Happy Yeti. And for, you know, not killing me :)
  • Corrected some issues with simple recipes. Thanks to Vholes Piper, Al, and DerMagus.

Also corrected some typos thanks to Kranodor, Suuljin, Mag, and Factitious. Go team!

A parcel of bug fixes

Here’s the list of updates and bug fixes from the past weekend. Which, so far, contains shockingly few Sewer Hideout related bugs. I’ll hold my tongue for now, though :)

  • The l, s, r, and c keys now work in physical and net combat for the appropriate buttons.
  • Saber is no longer quite so unshakable. Thanks for the bug report, Llamaman!
  • Fixed several errors with Cracked Spores. Thanks Happy Yeti!
  • Corrected an issue trading with our Mushroomy friends in the sewers. Thanks for pointing that out, TeKRunneR!
  • You now need a warehouse ID rather than a liquefied Eclipse to try and swipe into the warehouse office. Don’t ask why, it’s funnier this way. And thanks to Llamaman for pestering me until I realized why some people were seeing the option properly.
  • Thanks to Mag, Happy Yeti, Glass, and TeKRunneR for shoring up some of my spelling and grammar. Hip hip hooray!
  • And a special thanks to Sir Cheddar for verifying the game worked properly from Hong Kong after we received some bug reports. Much obliged!

Little Fixes

Have mostly been recovering from illness (curse you GenCon!) and the Survivors’ Quest (curse you Survivors!), but we’ve got some new fixes in place.

  • Cover Fire is being given out properly (not a broken weird copy). Thanks TeKRunner!
  • You can appropriately melt Achromatic Ingots back down with chemistry. Thanks for the chemistry madness, Vholes.
  • Most of the pearls can probably be sold now, single-handedly thanks to Cryptodynamic, Metroplex’s resident Pearl Baron.
  • Corrected a bug where you could switch gear and do all sorts of other stuff in the middle of a location-specific hacking encounter. Thanks Xerf, appreciate the report.
  • The Extreme Fishing XIII board should display properly now when you’re mid-reset. Good catch, Mag!
  • Halloween Spirit now works consistently with Christmas Cheer, thereby avoiding all-out war between the holidays. Thanks to Amasius on this one.
  • Joytime Products will no longer try to ship you negative Fae Plushes. Thanks Happy Yeti!
  • Also fixed up a bunch of typos thanks to Borkman, Happy Yeti, Glass, Mag, and Cryptodynamic. Yay for typo fixes!
