A couple more updates, actually spread out over the last few days.
- Requesting a shipment from Dr. Thomas pre-reset won’t be delivered post-reset. Good catch, Lord Finisher.
- Hitting enter in the multi-use fields will hopefully now work in IE6. Thanks for the bug report, A Naked Jew.
- The caffeine IV energy gain now has a random component that’ll bring it’s energy/body more in line with other caffeine sources.
- The Spectral Curse should go away properly at 0 Energy now. Thanks PaidPiedPiperPal.
- Running and hiding (respectively) from the SD1 in the Midgard Warehouse shouldn’t cause hiding and running now. Thanks Valera.
- And typos in from Cryptodynamic, A Naked Jew, and another couple batches from Metro. Thanks everyone!
I’ve been letting myself get side-tracked a bit with the PvP update and really fleshing things out. It’s taking a while, but I think the end product will be worth it.
Cheers!

Slipped in a couple of updates while working on the PvP upgrades.
- Using ‘extra’ rotting journals will now provide some effects.
- Clearing out a full Chain will no longer lock out adding new chain in. Thanks for the bug report, The Kitchen Sink.
- Multiple scripts can now run at the end of a combat. Notably, encounters with Spectral Sailors and Twisted Hounds will give the appropriate rewards. Thanks, Argeth!
- Added links to the Forums from the login and info pages. Thanks for the suggest, Llamaman!
- The warehouse inventory will now give prototype directions if you’ve finished Larry’s quest. Good suggestion, PaidPiedPiperPal.
- First Aid Kits now have a multi-use option. Thanks again to Argeth.
- And typos from DanBob, Llamaman, Prestige, Jick, and Magnifico.
Cheers!

Have a nice crop of updates this morning.
- First off, I added a ‘hint’ for what Techniques can advance a chain (thanks for the suggestion Nytmare). If you’re not seeing them, you’ll probably need to clear your cache. I’m curious what people’s thoughts are on this: good learning tool, nice reminder, confusing, too intrusive?
- The header pane will now autorefresh every five minutes or so (checking for new messages). Thanks to Mag for the suggestion here.
- Gang hideouts will no longer help you in the Ghost Ship or Beneath the Charnel House. Good suggestion, PaidPiedPiperPal.
- I changed the method of getting the Brutality Technique slightly. You should see less of them and have more control over how many you see. The Kitchen Sink kicked this off, but blame me if you don’t like the implementation :)
- The ghost ship should now lock properly after you finish the quest. Thanks Mag.
- I added information about targeting to the Info page, which was sorely lacking. Anything else that seems like it should go in there, drop me a line. Thanks to The Kitchen Sink for the note here.
- And a heaping helping of typo fixes courtesy of Man Mobile, Metro, Prestige, Mag, and Argeth.
Thanks everybody! I’m going to hide in a hole and bang out some PvP changes. Any feedback on the question mark ‘hints’ (or anything else, for that matter) is appreciated.
Cheers!

The biggest update today is the “Forgot Something?” link in the username/password box. Entering your email address there will send you an email containing your character’s name and a link to choose a new password. If you just forgot your username but know the password, it’ll let you log back in with your existing password.
Also, items are now labeled with their requirements for Body, Energy, and Hunger. Thanks to Valliant for the suggestion.
Strange Ore should now only appear once while you’re on the quest. Thank you, Prestige, for the bug report.
The Techniques page will no longer spill out a bunch of errors if you go there shortly after login. Cheers to PaidPiedPiperPal for noticing this one before it go too irritating.
Also, thanks to Argeth, ACM, and A Naked Jew for typo reports.
Cheers!

Implimented a whole slew of player suggestions today, including a bunch from the Suggestion Thread on the Forums. Here’s the list of changes:
- The inventory now has two columns. If this gives anyone problems, be sure to send me a message. Thanks to Nytmare for the suggestion and to ACM for pointing out when I broke inventory trying to get this working.
- If you’re fighting multiple targets, your current target will say “(Targeted)” when you mouseover their portrait. You may need to clear your cache to see this change. Thanks to MoreUmlaut for the suggestion here.
- The skill Ghoultouched got a power boost. It now scales as you go through the game. Thanks to Lord Finisher for pointing out it wasn’t really up to snuff.
- When you go into the Techniques screen for the first time after receiving more Techniques, those Techniques will be bolded. Good suggestion, Nytmare!
- Larry will now clarify his somewhat cryptic comment about Purification, if you so desire. Argeth pointed out this opportunity.
- PaidPiedPiperPal suggested so many things they get their own section: Old Pill Bottles have a few new options, you can know bind defeated Twisted Hounds, the containment suit will protect you even falling in Lake Metroplex, Andrea will help you even if you go unconscious in her fight (but not if you run), and fortune cookies now give, ya know, fortunes. Extra thanks to PaidPiedPiperPal for all the good suggestions!
- Also cleared up a bunch of typos thanks to Argeth, The Kitchen Sink, Nosside, Metro, Mag, A Naked Jew, and ACM. Thanks everyone!
Keep an eye here and on the forum over the next couple days, because I’m going to be looking for input on features and what order people want stuff tackled.
Cheers!

Also have a bunch of bug fixes over the last few days. Let’s go straight to the list:
- Corrected a bug allowing massive over-donation to the gang stash. Thanks to Metro and Al for reporting this.
- Finessed some the second chess opponent in terms of verbiage and rewards. Thanks Argeth and The Kitchen Sink.
- You can no longer include negative numbers of a Technique in your deck. Thanks to Metro for hammering these out.
- In The Jungle is no longer a quest item to keep it in line with the books like Chess for Beginners and Quantum Mechanics. Thanks for the suggestion, PaidPiedPiperPal.
- Noncombats that damage you to the point you need to rest will now give better feedback. Thanks to Metro on this one.
- Also, lots of other typos corrected thanks to Mag, Man Mobile, A Naked Jew, Bete Noire, and the ongoing efforts of Metro.
Cheers!

There has been a minor combat change that you’ll probably only notice on the Slags Beach, if at all. I’m being vague because its involved in the upcoming sidequest, but don’t like making unannounced changes.
Have been plugging away at bug fixes in the background too. Here’s a quick rundown:
- BeanCounters can now view the Gang Stash screen which helps with, you know, bean counting. Cheers to Ed for reporting this one.
- You should be allowed to log back in (without manually reloading) after changing networks. Thanks to ChickenFries for the bug report.
- Made some quick changes from the Suggestion Thread. Continue On and Back to the Streets should be in a consistent order (thanks, The Metro), Cruel Slash is slightly improved compared to Brutality (good point, Magnifico), and inhaling Eclipse smoke now does what one might expect (thanks, PaidPiedPiperPal).
- Also, thanks to Argeth and Swocky for reporting some typos.
Cheers!

First off, hello to everyone from Kingdom of Loathing! Nice to see all the new faces. If you run into any bugs, even seemingly trivial stuff, please send me a message or bug report.
I believe I’m caught up on all the messages and bug reports for now, so if I missed anything, feel free to resend it. I am actually still in the process of moving, but I’m supposed to be settled with internet access by Friday.
Here is a quick rundown of the bug reports that we’ve caught up with:
- Thanks to Man Mobile and Squarebob Fancy Pants for reporting problems with registering accounts containing a space. That should now work properly.
- Paid Pied Piper Pal managed to find (but not fall victim too) a bug that’d kill off Lo for no good reason. He’s also helped test out a lot of the weirdness with a dying man in the Slags.
- Everyone’s favorite Third Eye Lieutenant should respond to questions about the Lost Son in more situations. Thanks to Argeth for this one.
- Thanks to Jick for pointing out some problems in the quest log when selling the Squatter King’s crate of medicine.
- Expanded the explination of what’s going on when you open a crate of Eclipse. Thanks to Audesapere for pointing out the vagueness.
- Finally fixed the border around the map images (particularly between the two on the Docks) in Firefox. Thanks to Nytmare for the nudge on this one.
- Also cleared up a nice batch of typos from Argeth, Rikitikitavi, A Naked Jew, and Llamaman.
Cheers!

Added a bit of content today and a bunch of little options.
- Some difficulty balancing on the bosses in the University Quest. Shard is easier, although it may not be readily apparent how at first, and Sabre is more difficult, largely centered around his opening attack. Feel free to keep critiquing things on the forum thread as we get this hammered out.
- The process for getting the asylum key has also changed. Thanks to PaidPiedPiperPal for some of the inspiration.
- Two new skills have been added related to the most recent side quest. One of them is a potential choice after the side quest (like the others). The other is a free-for all, although I can’t promise it’ll be easy to find.
- Killing Trash Golems in the Midgard Warehouse will no longer cause crazy errors. Thanks Lord Finisher!
- If you have completed the Slags Antidote quest, Boris will offer you his alternate reward as an option when completing his quest. Thank you, PaidPiedPiperPal, for the suggestion.
- Indirect Fire has new, less rotated, art.
- There are now quest entries for the ‘Trouble on the Docks’ quest when you’re getting back to everyone for your rewards. Good suggestion from PaidPiedPiperPal over on the forums.
Cheers!

Bunch of changes today. The biggest is that the Third Eye during the University quest have have their difficulty turned up a notch. Their XP awards and boss items have also been bumped up, so this should help smooth progression into the Slags quest.
If they’re too difficult now, could be made more difficult, or are just right, feel free to send feedback in. I’ll actually post a thread on the wiki forums also and see how that goes.
Other Changes:
- The Sabre encounter (rescuing Dr. Amundsen) has been retooled, thanks in part to some suggestions by Argeth. Should be a bit more interesting.
- There are new options in the Docks and Docks Medicine quests. Thanks to PaidPiedPiperPal for the suggestions.
- Hideout information will now be displayed in the Main gang tab for members only. This one is also thanks to PaidPiedPiperPal.
Cheers!
